Happy New
Year. Southern Literary Review wishes you and yours all the
best in 2007. We are looking forward to the new books by new
authors and new books by our favorite authors that have been
entertaining and educating us for years.
Southern Literary
Review takes great pride in the writers the South has produced and
the masterpieces that would never have been were it not for the life
and history of the American South, but there is a new American
South. A rising of the South as has always been predicted and we
hope to see more writing that reflects the lifestyles and views of a
modern, and intelligent southern culture, so in 2007, we will make
it our mission to tell you when a new book is truly new and when the
storyline is very familiar (you may prefer the familiar). We plan,
however, to work even more
diligently to promote original storylines, fresh ideas and new
authors you should be reading!
